Preparing for Your Procedure
Now that you have scheduled your interventional pain treatment, here are some things you need to know to prepare for your procedure. It is especially important to follow any directions that pertain to taking prescription or over-the-counter medications or herbal supplements.
We will provide specific instructions on any special instructions regarding medications before your procedure. If you are on any antibiotics, call and let us know. We may need to reschedule your appointment.
FOODS/LIQUIDS: Nothing to eat or drink within eight (8) hours of the scheduled procedure time, with the exception of small sips of water with required medications.
ILLNESS: If you have a sore throat, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, urinary tract infection, or any other sign of illness, you will need to reschedule your appointment by calling the number listed under your clinic on the locations page. No procedure will be done if you are ill.
CANCELLATIONS: We request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If you are unable to have your procedure due to a last-minute emergency, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you have any questions about preparing for your procedure, we’ll be happy to help. A member of our staff will contact you to answer any last-minute questions you may have and get any other information we require from you.
