Gary Garza22:17 19 May 23Went in for a procedure to identify the nerve that is causing my residual limb significant pain. Honestly I’ve been told by many amputees and Doctor Gutierrez that nerve pain is a common malady after amputation surgery.On top of that I have Buergers Disease. Basically I’m going to be in pain forever! Maybe? LOL! Anyway, I’ve been coming to Dr G for over 5 years and I was sold after he installed a DRG in my back! That did not wind up working but I went ahead knowing that we may not get the desired outcome. I don’t care because he tries everything he can outside of taking pain pills. And Kaycee my PA who sees me all throughout the year is the one who gets the ball rolling on all these procedures as well as recommending procedures that could be therapeutic or helpful in alleviating pain. If Dr.G is Austin’s Top Doc for 2023 then Kaycee ought to be Austin’s Top PA for 2023! I was not paid to say these things either! LOL! Although Dr. Frederick performs my procedures when I need them, his PA Angela see me for my appointments. She is very thorough, spends time with me, answers all my questions, addresses all my concerns, and truly is compassionate and invested in her patients. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the location is in Austin, Texas and I'm in New Braunfels, Texas. The drive, regardless of the time of day, is full of traffic and difficult to make it on time to appointments, unless I leave atleast 40 minutes earlier than I really need to. Other than travel time, I still refuse to look for a closer Pain Management location because they take great care of all my needs- back, neck, proper medication, and procedures which actually work to elieviate pain.Minnie Padin00:56 14 Apr 23My experience at Pain Specialist was very smooth with reminders from the office to be there on time and what to expect next day. When I arrived I was served immediately and with 5 min I was called for preparation for my procedure. Dr. Frederick was pleasant and was quick but smooth and prepared me in advance for the shot. My fear quickly went away and my pain has subsided and I'm comfortable again. Thanks Pain Centers for a smooth experience. Usually conventional methods of treating a patient requires physical examination of sought, however when dealing with body pain, treatment has to be indivualized and that take time. Staff was professional and friendly, attentive and meticulous. She actively listens to you and works with you to make a plan to do what you want to do. She has changed locations but except for trying to find her again, I have no complaints. I recommend her to anyone that needs help with their pain. When I was referred to her I could not lay flat, tilted my head and was in constant pain. This past December I got another injection because the meds and neck stretcher were not cutting it. I was a little apprehensive doing it in the office because I know getting the needle up my spine and to the proper location is tricky. She did a beautiful job and the next day I spent the next 36 hours in a hospital with my husband and I did not have to worry about needing pain meds or laying down.I have never had any problems with the staff. They have always been professional and friendly. There were some problems with my insurance since she moved and they took care of everything for me. I have not had problems with testing or refilling my medsAs a matter of fact when I had to get a new MRI, my insurance company suggested another company that was cheaper and they faxed them the orders I got it scheduled an hour laterJan Jackson20:31 22 Dec 20These people go beyond efficient, kind and caring!
