Dr. Julie Kaesberg is a board-certified anesthesiologist with a deep interest in promoting and maintaining health and wellness. Dr. Kaesberg attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies, then joined the Navy and attended the Uniformed Services University for medical school. She completed her internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Following her internship, she was the "Battalion Surgeon" for 7th Engineer Support Battalion in Camp Pendleton. With the Marines, she completed her first deployment to Iraq. While there, she earned her Fleet Marine Force ribbon. She completed her residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. She also deployed on the Mercy, a Naval Hospital Ship, to serve on a humanitarian mission to Timor Liste. Upon graduation, she was awarded "resident of the year," for research.
After hanging up her combat boots, Dr. Kaesberg took a position at UTSW, where she served as a resident mentor and was one of two staff who worked with pediatric burn patients. Dr. Kaesberg is personally committed to a healthy lifestyle with nutrition, exercise, emotional wellness and has taken a deep dive into weight-lifting as a hobby. With over a decade of anesthesia experience under her belt, she is ready to help her patients “wake up” to a better state of health.
