Dr. Andrés Gutiérrez Robles was born and raised in San Juan, P.R. He completed his medical studies at Ponce Health Sciences University, where he participated as often as he could in volunteer efforts during natural disasters—including helping his fellow islanders in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017.
He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Fla., followed by a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Oregon Health Science University in Portland. Dr. Gutierrez’ personal background in physical medicine and rehabilitation dovetails perfectly into his position at Pain Specialists of America, where he plans on helping provide his patients with exceptional care. His goal is to team with patients to help them fight their pain and emerge better able to function physically in their everyday lives, thereby improving their overall quality of life.
Dr. Gutierrez is fluent in both Spanish and English. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, as well as playing sports. He also enjoys grilling in his backyard and spending time with family.
