Dr. Asim Aijaz brings a wealth of experience, both personal and professional, to his position at Pain Specialists of America. He's been practicing interventional pain management in central Texas since 2008.
Dr. Aijaz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, following up with medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. A residency in anesthesiology from UAMS, then a fellowship in interventional pain management at New York Medical College in New York City, he has double board certifications in pain management and anesthesia. In addition to his focus on academics, he participated in medical outreach projects including trips to Guatemala and Ghana to help disadvantaged populations. He continues to participate in post-graduate education as he firmly believes one should never stop learning.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Aijaz is spending time with his family. He is active in Cub Scouts and is an avid reader. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, riding motorcycles, traveling and learning about different cultures.
